Rapid Recovery’s aromatherapy methods are synonymous with natural healing as well as preventative treatments.

Currently there are two very unique body rubs. They are specially prepared using a secret aromatherapy blend. Each rub has its own characteristics, and was specifically developed to maximize the medicinal properties of the essential oils used.

Essential oils are one of nature’s purest and most effective medicines. The concentrated, aromatic oils have been extracted from particular grasses, fruits, leaves, flowers, trees and roots.

Many of these are active ingredients in drugs that are prescribed in orthodox western medicine systems.

Each oil is used for many diverse purposes. For example, peppermint oil is an anti-inflammatory used to treat rheumatism and arthritis; it is also prescribed by doctors for the relief of discomfort in the digestive system, under another trade name. It is well known that peppermint is used by confectioners and less well known that it is an ingredient in aftershave lotions. Aromatherapists would use it on its own or in a synergistic blend for Inflammation, Arthritis, Nausea, Indigestion, Headaches, Migraine, Fevers, Liver problems and as a Stimulant.

Rapid Recovery’s Therapeutic Rubs contain essential oils that are synergistic blends and include Eucalyptus, Ginger, Rosemary, Peppermint, Lavender, Arnica, Tea Tree and others.

The essential oils used are non-invasive to the human body because we are made of the same material. The aromatic chemicals found in the essential oils are derived from phenylpropane, which are the precursors of amino-acids that link to make the proteins which provide the building blocks for just about everything in the human body from the smallest enzyme to the skeleton. Another large group of chemicals found in essential oils are the terpineols which are formed from acetyl-coenzyme A, which plays a crucial role in the production of hormones, vitamins and energy.

Essential oils play an important part in bringing oxygen and nutrients to the tissues while assisting in efficient disposal of carbon dioxide and other waste products that are produced by cell metabolism. Complimenting these powerful healing oils is the luxurious cream base, which is light and easily applied. The base oils included are rich in vitamins, minerals, proteins and beta-carotin. These oils have properties that are good for the treatment of inflamed skin, eczema, arthritis, rheumatism, psoriasis as well as reduction of scarring and rejuvenation.
